Euthanasia

When the time is right, The Vet Group staff will assist you in every way possible. We understand that euthanasia is an emotional and upsetting event.

Euthanasia can be performed in the clinic or in the comfort of your own home. Euthanasia involves giving your pet an overdose of an anaesthetic usually through a front leg vein. Your pet will go to sleep similar to a nomal anaesthetic then their breathing and heart will stop. You can choose whether you want to be present or not.

After euthanasia, your pet can be taken home for burial or we can organise cremation with or without the return of the ashes. You can be rest assured that your pet will be treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve.

Further details of the cremation service and container options can be found at www.petcremations.com.au
